Say Good Bye

And finally it is time to dismantle and clean our tools ready to say good bye to thirsty lands. Tick tock clock goes and as one wise man once said, "Time and Time waits for no man." It has been three months full of fun and I can say that what
I liked so much about Senegal is its unique Hospitality dubbed "Teranga!" If there is a country you want to visit, work in, be a missionary in, then I will highly recommend Senegal. Our trip here was one that is definitely going on history books and for sure it was a history in the make. After spending One and a half month in Thies Town where we took our internship under MIS organization. It was a period full of challenges and learning but it was amazing to work with faithful and strong believers who takes it to God in prayer all the time. Of cause language was a big challenge to me but thanks to Adeline for having been the best interpreter she could be. I enjoyed working with her in both office and leisure activities like creating music with upcoming Christian artists. Above all how we relied on God and prayers. Some one else that I think I should mention here is our professor who sacrificed her time to be with us despite the turmoil and political uproar that claimed more than 6 lives including casualties as a result of a grenade launched in a religious center. God bless you professor. On to other things that I was doing in Senegal: I was working in finance and socio-economic office linking the two offices and working as a deputy director in coordinating a document that we were working on. It was a back and forth movement that needed a lot of accuracy and good communication skills and I can say God gave me the wisdom I asked for to get the work done. As at now, I am working on two documents that summarises all the organizations projects and the targets that they will start to work towards. The documents are set for organizations efficiency that I have done a lot of research about and writing my Bachelors Thesis on the same topic. Working with MIS/PI gave me a golden opportunity to put in practice all the class work I have studied in pragmatisms and words cant express my gratitudes to the two organizations. I did not only get to work in the office but I also did a lot of field work, took pictures, visited projects, took videos, researched and Interviewed people about development and organizations efficiency. Some of the topics that I really dwelt on were growth of organization and when to stop developments and the information I got has helped me in designing these two documents that I hope will be helpful in this organization. All work without evangelisms make Josh a dull boy! We took part in an evangelism campaign dubbed Jericho Jeg Jam which simply means shaking the walls and bringing the Jericho walls down coincidentally I share name with the man who lead the operations in the bible. I saw people coming back to Christ and the lost were found. something that I would like you to pray about is for the new believers to continue growing in their faith. It is never easy especially in a country like Senegal where the ratio of believers is highly outweighed by the non believers. Above all the testimonies that crowned our trip to Senegal, My French teacher who became my good friend and we started sharing the word of God together with.Only if I could turn back the hands of time, then I would have enough time to be with him and help him in his spiritual journey but I leave the rest in the hands of God to work in him and to show him the right way. My dream became true when he openly accepted the bible that we gave him as a gift and pray that God will speak to him through that. In terms of Music, I worked with, recorded with and Produced music tracks for an upcoming Gospel Musicians in Senegal, Nicola, Ibu and Jean with the help of producers Xat Xoll A.K.A B0$$, and Baffou who we started talking to about God but time did not allow us. I also did a collaboration with some of the artists signed under Xat Xoll label and did a new song "Raising Jesus Up!" the song will be on social media soon. Thank you all for your prayers and endless support and encouragements that you have been giving me. Next week I am headed to Kenya for the first time where I will meet my family in three years. I cant wait for that. In my errands list, revamping Dress Africa the organization I helped started is topping the list. We are going to build the DA leadership structure and I am so excited to announce to you that we got two computers as Donations to help Dress Africa in evangelical work in Kenya. More on DA coming soon on the same blogg. I would like to come back to Senegal as a missionary and help spread the word of God and serve the people here. I love Africa. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
